We were making a emergency light made out of  LEDs just encase the power went out at home so we could use it so we have light.

In class miss pitt showed us this cool clip about two octopuses and she paused it at a sertin time and we had to try and write what we thought might happen

The car is going down the stairs really really fast. The man is holding on to  the octopuses.The octopuses is squirming around on his hand he chucks them. They dive into a pool and start swimming they jump out of the pool into a river and swim away down to the estuary they see the sea.Suddenly they see the angry old man they swim as fast as they can.The man is coming closer he grabs them and puts them into the chilly bin and puts a padlock on so they can’;t get out they take them to the place where the get chopped up but the were too small so the put them back into the sea and they carried on with their business.

My first goal is to talk less so I can get my work done.

My second goal is to get more sport points so I will try and join touch rugby.

My persuasive writing about there should be no school uniform

Dear Mr Bob

Think .Think back to your school days. Did you like your school uniform? Not many people did so I want to get rid of the school uniform.

Firstly they take time. Every Morning you’re rushing around trying to get your school uniform ready. Well what if you didn't have school uniform you could get into any old clothes also ,you have to wash them every second day wash wash wash wash wash that's all you do, well mum does.

Secondly it is also easy to get into normal clothes instead of looking for your uniform most mornings .You could just get into some clothes like if it was cold you could get some track pants on, but no we are not allowed to because it is not school uniform. Also you can be who you want to be. You can express your self, like lets just say you like chocolate you could wear a top with a chocolate bar on it .

Finally they cost to much the jersey it is $115. That is A LOT of money for people that aren't that rich also if you lost it you have to buy a new one that is another $115 and what if the shop was closed you will get in trouble for not wearing the correct school uniform.  

In conclusion there should be no school uniform in schools it is itchy, expensive, uncomfortable and annoying to wash every second day.

In reading we are doing literature circles.My group are reading charlie and the great class elevator and i am the summariser. here is my summary

Charlie has now landed on the space hotel of the USA. They are talking to the president of the USA. The president thinks they want to blow up the space hotel but they don’t they accidentally went up into space and found it and wanted to land on it. So they are inside the space hotel and the president is talking. Mr Wonka is saying random stuff he said Venus and mars so the president thought that they were from there. So the president asked them to come down and they will look after them but Mr Wonka thought that if we go down there they will recognized them. So they decided not to go then grandma Georgina started screaming and in the elevator there was a nasty brown animal then the chapter finished the end .

'trash' summary so far and prediction

Brief summary:
Our class book this term is trash by and mulligan so far it is about.
There is three boys  looking threw the trash and they found this bag that the police were looking for.In the bag there was a key id, money and a map.They followed the map and it was at a train station on the key there was three letters 101 they found the locker inside the locker there was a letter they read it.It was to a man could Gabriel Olondriz and he was in prison the police found out the Raphael had got the letter so they got him and threatened to kill him and they smashed him around.He lied his way out of it and escaped .He went to a girl and asked the girl to take him to the prison so he could say to his Grandad that his house was about to get taken away but it was a lie. The girl got him into the prison and took him to Gabriel olondriz they told him about the letter.




My prediction

I reckon that the police will find out that they are talking about the letter so the police set up a trap and they get taken away.then They escape

Term two reflections and term 3 goals.

This term has been really fun with a lot of games and we went to Masterton. 

I am proud going to Masterton for the 1st 15. 

The best part is this term is going to Masterton. 

I achieved one of my goals this term witch was getting five reach awards.

My goals for term three are to get 8 reach awards and coming in the top 20 in cross country.  

Tech challenge

In our tech challenge we had to make a tower it is made out of 1 packet of pasta, 8 marshmallows and 20cm of tape im my group we had Bianca, Danika,Marguerite and Cam and we won with our tower that got 65cm tall.

I've made progress in maths because I have learnt a lot more strategies.

My recount of a Memorable moment.

“Mark,Mark,Mark wake up’’ “what’’ “it is good surf” “OK”

so I got up in the nice sunny day.I had breakfast and got my wet suit on and grabbed my surfboard.I started to walked to the beach and looked at the sunrise and the sunrise was as orange as an goldfish and by the way the beach is a really long beach it is about 7k long and there is an estuary at the end of the beach. How about we get back to the story as i walked down to the beach and the rumble started to get louder and louder as i walk down the road. Suddenly I could see the sea and it was huge.It was unbelievable! It was the biggest surf I've ever seen.So we jump onto the sand.We put our leg ropes on and started to paddle out.         

We started to paddle out and we got smashed and duck dive under the wave with the surfboard, and again under another wave. So we were out the back and there was a set coming through so my brother got the first wave and what a wave it was. He was getting blue water foragers he was up and down the wave that was a good wave I said to myself in my head. What good waves we were catching.We were just catching waves and just having fun and suddenly there was the biggest wave I have ever seen and I had to paddle out or it was going to break on me.I turned around to catch it.

I was looking at my brother. He was smiling at me. I caught the wave and down the face of the wave. Across the wave I go up and down and all around. It was a beautiful  wave. I said to myself in my head. Every one on the beach was watching.My Mum and Dad were waving to me and it was amazing my brother was yelling at me that was the best wave ever.

I rode the wave all the way in and my mum and dad came straight to me .My brother caught a wave in and we walk back to our batch together and we told everyone and they all said well down to me and we had lunch. My brother said after we just had lunch lets go for a surf every one said “no!!!!!!”.
